Scholarships
Cost should never be the reason a child doesn’t learn to swim.
Our Scholarship Program provides reduced tuition to families experiencing financial need — up to 75% of tuition, based on household income, household size, and individual circumstances. Scholarships are limited, and we can’t say yes to every request — but we never want a family to assume the answer is no without asking.

One payment or two
Both options cover the same full package commitment — the choice is only how you’d like to pay.
One Payment — Save 5%
Pay for your complete lesson package in one payment at enrollment and receive a 5% discount on lesson tuition.

Two Equal Payments
Split your package tuition into two equal payments at the regular package price. The first payment is due at enrollment; the second is due halfway through the scheduled package.

These two payment options are for lesson packages only — the 12-, 16-, and 24-lesson packages. Monthly lessons are billed separately, either by automatic monthly withdrawal or paid in full up front.
A $99 registration fee per child is due at enrollment for every program. It is separate from lesson tuition and is not included in the 5% package discount.
Enrollment in a package is a commitment to the entire 12-, 16-, or 24-lesson program, regardless of the payment option selected. Choosing the two-equal-payments option divides the tuition into installments; it does not divide the enrollment commitment.
Courtesy Makeups
We understand that children get sick and schedules occasionally change.
- 12-Lesson Package — up to 2 courtesy makeups
- 16-Lesson Package — up to 3 courtesy makeups
- 24-Lesson Package — up to 4 courtesy makeups
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to qualify for a courtesy makeup.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows are considered used lessons.
- Courtesy makeups are subject to instructor and schedule availability and cannot be guaranteed. Makeups must be completed during the active package period and do not extend the package.
- If Sierra Swim Academy cancels a lesson, that lesson will be rescheduled and will not count toward the family’s courtesy makeup allowance.
Package Policies
- Reserved Lesson Time
- Your recurring lesson time is reserved specifically for your family for the duration of your package.
- Package Commitment
- Enrollment reserves your space for the full package. Selecting a payment plan does not change the total number of lessons purchased or the family’s financial commitment to the package.
- Attendance
- Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged. Regular instruction helps swimmers retain skills, build confidence, and progress more efficiently.
- Missed Lessons
- Lessons missed outside of the courtesy makeup policy are considered used lessons.
- Refunds & Transfers
- Once a package begins, tuition and registration fees are non-refundable, and packages are non-transferable.
- School Cancellations
- Lessons canceled by Sierra Swim Academy will be rescheduled or appropriately credited and will not be deducted as a student absence.

Twenty-minute private and semi-private lessons provide focused instruction with minimal downtime. This format is especially effective for young swimmers and allows instructors to concentrate on the skills each swimmer needs most.
For families looking for increased consistency and faster skill progression, we recommend twice-weekly instruction.

No child is ever “water safe” or “drown-proof.” Swimming instruction is an important layer of water safety, but it never eliminates drowning risk and never replaces active adult supervision.
All prices, registration fees, package sizes, and makeup allowances are set by the academy and may change. Courtesy makeups are a courtesy and are not guaranteed.
